The IF-52586 is made by Idaho Fabrication LLC (I-FAB.US) in Idaho Falls, Idaho and replaces the EN-52586 Crankshaft Timing Fixing Pin (also known as GM-52586) is essential for timing drive system service on 2019-later Silverado/Sierra trucks equipped with the 3.0L Duramax Diesel engine (RPO LM2). This tool functions by locking the crankshaft in its precise timing position via an insertion point through the engine block and into the counterweight. To use, after removing the front engine cover, EN-52586 is inserted through the designated timing hole at the front of the block. The crankshaft must then be rotated until the tip of EN-52586 aligns and fully engages with the timing hole located in the crankshaft balance weight, indicated by the timing groove on the end of the tool being flush with the front surface of the engine block. If this groove is not visible, the crankshaft is not correctly positioned, and the process must be repeated.
